The largest exhibition in the Middle East will be repeated once again in Dubai, starting from November 11 to 16th. After the second iteration of Dubai Design Week, the festival gained tremendous amount of reputation and accompanied more than 75.000 people who attended the varied program of design-related events, exhibitions, performances, awards, talks, workshops and experiences.

The design week will be for 6 days welcoming multiple disciplines; as such architecture, product design, interior design, multimedia and graphic design. Same as last year, most of the events are not going to cost any monetary value allowing it’s visitors to expand their business network by seeking common interests. The whole design event accessible for the design industry and the public.

This year international conferences held by UAE modern will of high importance among Dubai Design Week. The festival welcomes more than 20 speakers; architects and academicians  who will discuss the theme of innovation, mobility and sustainability. Also designers, including as Christian Louboutin (Louboutin) and Tomås Alonso (Swarovski).

The festival is located in Dubai Design District, named after the first Dubai Design Week and the district is appointed to be “smart district” where high levels of digital connection will be possible by the end of 2021. So, in terms of rapid urban growth the festival has a leading role for Dubai, and the city is on its’ way to be a creative capital of the Middle East. William Knight, director of the design week, explains: “We have worked to transform D3 into a public place where people can spend time outdoors. Not just design showrooms, but also shops and spaces for leisure time.”

What is there to see?

      With 175 contemporary design brands, including 40 regional designers, the fair presents the largest ever curation of Middle Eastern talent alongside the best of international design. Visitors will also be able to commission limited-edition and bespoke design from the Middle East and beyond at the fair’s new section, Downtown Editions.
