When designing the hotel interior design, Bullard was inspired by the neighborhood’s essence and history and as such he wanted to bring a combination of old and contemporary design elements. The 24-room luxury hotel has a distinctive aesthetic with geometric marble floors, emerald green walls and gilded palm trees, among other unique features that will certainly take guests to the Golden Age!

According to Bullard, The Prospect is “wildly charming, it’s wildly romantic, and it has all of this fantastic old world stuff going on.” Furthermore, the hotel interior design is well-appointed with velvet-swathed banquettes, modern brass accents throughout, mismatched artwork, which is a playful contrast considering the hotel’s traditional regency style.

The Prospect’s suites highlight gold-leaf ceilings and custom wallpaper as well as vintage furnishings and leopard-print carpets. Once again, a series of artworks brings a unique touch to the interiors, many of which were found in flea markets and antique fairs. One of the best luxury suites to experience is the Mata Hari suite. Here, you will find the walls dressed in Chinoiserie wallpaper and then photographs of iconic actress Greta Garbo as well as old movie posters. All in all, the suite contains a lot of mirrored and metallic finishes and an uncanny vintage flair.
