The nude generation show debuted in 2002 as a project with four goals: to be a design platform, a tool for the interior industry, a meeting place for novice designers and industry operators, and to promote the values of the culture of habitat design.

Every year, a Selection Committee is tasked with selecting the work and designers that will comprise the show from among all of the applications received. Each year, the Committee is made up of well-known professionals who represent various critical aspects of the world of interiors, such as designers, architects, interior designers, manufacturers, distributors, and/or retailers, as well as design theorists and media dedicated to the discipline.
