Jacques Grange is one of the best interior designers of our days. Jacques is known for his impeccable sense of style, that combines the best of traditional and contemporary design. Grange decorated Château Gabriel, in Benerville-sur-Mer, for Yves Saint Laurent. The main inspiration was King Louis II of Bavaria and the decor of Luchino Visconti’s films, however, the interior designer was encouraged to interpret as he saw fit in order to produce the best results. Imposing ‘portières’ and curtains made from thick, opulent fabrics, formed a perfect contrast with the Napoleon III furniture and other unusual and fantastic art.
The Mark Hotel in New York is a mixture of old-world luxury and avant-garde design with contemporary touches. It’s one of the finest five-star hotel of the 21st-century. The Mark turned to the french interior designer to create the perfect spaces to portray the values from the design point of view. In addition to selecting and designing custom furnishings he, worked with renowned artists to create the perfect aesthetic for The Mark.

The designer’s apartment, as it could be expected is the epitome of his style. Contemporary art sculptures, antiques, modern touches and unique shaped lighting fixtures fill Grange’s personal space. The perfect harmony between contemporary furniture items and 18th-century objects shows how easy it is for the designer to incorporate different styles into the same room and make it look fantastic.
