Restaurant Schäfli

The goal for Atelier Crivelli here was to keep the restaurant’s atmosphere. The dark wood was replaced with new and lighter stone cladding. It appears friendlier, more modern, and in tune with the times. After the conversion, regular customers should still feel at ease, and the restaurant should not appear completely strange, which was successfully implemented.

The requirements of the premises and materials differ when guests go for a drink in the bar after skiing, even while wearing their ski boots. Above all, the materials must be durable, and the atmosphere must be inviting and comfortable. An attempt was made to make the best of the situation with a small construction budget. As a result, we took many existing elements and combined an industrial look with the existing materials in this concept. Leaving the stone floors in place and applying a new glaze to the wood paneling and beams changes the dynamic of these spaces. The lights in the lounge have been designed to be worn on a variety of occasions.
