Celebrity Homes : Ellen DeGeneres is Selling Her Santa Barbara Villa
Celebrity homes – You can now purchase Ellen DeGeneres Santa Barbara Villa for a mere $45 million!
When we think about luxury homes, there’s at least three things that come to our minds. One of them is “expensive”, there’s always a great price to pay when it comes to comfort and high quality, and there isn’t an exception in the home business. The second is “massive”, there’s no way a celebrity home can only have room for two. And third, a “stunning view”, a luxury home can’t really live without a matching surrounding landscape. Right? Right.
And of course, the home of the American Sweetheart and comedian Ellen DeGeneres couldn’t miss any of these steps.
The power couple just listed the 10,500-square-foot home for $45 million, and it’s apparent it was designed to awe. Sitting on what was once two adjacent properties (now a 16.88-acre piece of land), the luxury villa overlooks the ocean and is surrounded by mountains.
With six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, plus a fitness room, library, sun room and home office, you basically wouldn’t need to leave the house. And although every single part of the celebrity home is designed to kill, the home’s integration of outdoor and indoor living is probably the biggest deal.

An alfresco dining area is nestled below mature trees that provide cool shade on hot summer days, a Roman-style pool is surrounded by lush expanses of grass, and olive and eucalyptus trees line the twisting quarter-mile drive to the entry’s 18th-century Spanish gates. Is there anything else we could ask for?
Ellen Degeneres stated that the house feels like it was build out of the existing landscape and it’s just like if the hill was never without the house.
“It’s a home that honors nature, and I love that.”
DeGeneres and de Rossi’s Santa Barbara Villa was built in the 1930’s by the successful american architect Wallace Frost. Decades later the game was given a five-year restoration by designer John Saladino who manages to create the perfect mix of grandeur and modesty. $26.4 million was a fair price for the power couple to purchase this unique luxury home.
