Celebrity Homes – Instagram’s Founder Lake Tahoe Retreat – Take a look at the ultimate lake house owned by Kevin Systrom, Instagram’s cofounder.

Lake Tahoe, located in the Sierra Nevada is the largest Alpine lake in North America. The area, which has long attracted many visitors, is known for the magnificent landscapes and for the beauty of the crystal-blue lake.

It comes as no surprise that Kevin Systrom, one of Instagram founders, and his wife Nicole, chose this stunning area to buy a house. The house itself was newly built but had the character of an old mountain lodge with the perk of having views over the stunning lake.

The house, which was already built had many features that can be found in traditional mountain lodges, such as massive timbers, hand-scraped floors, and ceilings. From then the owners decided they wanted to turn the interiors into curated spaces full of character and history.

Ken Fulk, who belongs to the acclaimed AD100 list, is the interior designer behind these brilliant interiors. Working alongside Daryl Serrett, the interior design duo, with the close collaboration of both Kevin and Nicole created these stunning interiors!

Among the many requests, the couple had was a large yet very stylish kitchen since they are avid cooks. The final result is a rustic looking kitchen, filled with textures and finished with an extra-large island and the best appliances!

Since this house was designed to be a sort of ‘getaway’, it needed a lot of beds to fit a large number of people. A bunk room, ideal for kids, came as the perfect solution and brings this mountain lodge to another level.

Celebrity homes never cease to amaze us with its grandiosity! Ans the outdoor space in this home is even more amazing than the indoor ones. The couple wanted plenty of spaces to enjoy the beautiful outdoors after all this is a mountain house!
