Clare Waight Keller to replace Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy
After Leaving Chloé, Clare Waight Keller is the new creative director of Givenchy
Riccardo Tisci’s departure from Givenchy left us wandering who would replace him. During Paris Fashion Week it was revealed that Clare Waight Keller, from Chloé, would be the new creative director.
It’s no surprise that here at LUXXU we are big fans of fashion designers. We even have a collection inspired by Alexander McQueen. You can check some of the pieces here and here.
Riccardo Tisci spent 12 years as Givenchy‘s creative director creating many memorable outfits and lines. As soon as the news about his departure were brought into the light the speculation about who would take his place began.
One of the biggest rumours, concerning who would replace Tisci, was the OFF-White fashion designer Virgil Abloh. Instead, Clare Waight Keller, who had previously been of Chloé, joined the LVMH family.
Givenchy broke the news by simply posting a portrait of the creator captioned “2017. CLARE WAIGHT KELLER. NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR. SHOT BY STEVEN MEISEL”
