Dolce Gabbana uses Fake Logos as Inspiration for new Iconic Tees
Italian Fashion Brand Dolce Gabbana is using fashion copy cats for its spring / summer 2017 collection
“The Real Fake” will be the next new trend in the world of fashion for spring 2017. We all know that one of the biggest problems in the fashion industry is that many successful labels cannot protect their intellectual property since there are so many imitators that expect to gain profit using their logos. The real deal with this trend is that luxury and designer brands such as Dolce Gabbana will use it as inspiration for a new collection of tees that represent a satirical approach to this situation.
Dolce & Gabbana‘s new #DGTheRealFake t-shirt collection walked the runway for spring / summer 2017. The theme was inspired by traditional symbols of Italy such as pasta and bread, in combination with holiday spirit objects including cocktails and ice cream. A colorful show we must say.
For the presentation Dolce Gabbana paired The Real Fake tees which are designed to mimic the designer knock-offs for puns that a consumer may come across at a beach or tourist shop.

One t-shirt for example reads “D&G Daiquiri & Gin Fizz” while another says “D&G Dormo e Gioco”. In addition to these logos, Dolce Gabbana recreated tourist shirts that say “I was there” in many different languages. In similarity to souvenir tees printed with the visited country or city’s name.
The Real Fakes also have the price tags to match, ranging from $745 to $1,495. They are available for adults, girls and babies.
