Exclusive Interview with Roye Interiors

Gayton Manor project by Roye Interiors

Luxxu’s Team was recently in London and had the opportunity to have an exclusive interview with Jade Roye, from Roye Interiors. The studio creates elegant, smart and timeless interiors. Working with the leading manufacturers in London and Italy, they are able to advice and design incredible bespoke pieces to make your space completely unique.

Luxxu: Why did you choose the world of interior design?

Jade Roye: The story started in the University when I was in a lighting company. And now here I am, working by myself after hard work.

L: How do you describe your style?

JR: I can say my style is modern contemporary but you can’t live without trends every year and many things change with the seasons and this influences my work.

L: Is there anything exciting that you are working in the moment that you would like to talk about?

JR: I’m working in a Palace in Saudi Arabia for a Shake who wants building his empire. It’s amazing, it’s a very big project and it’s challenging! The palace is very huge, it’s amazing!

L: What do you love about being an interior designer?

JR: I love the freedom of being able to do whatever I want and give my opinion, and my clients value my opinion. The freedom of this is amazing.

L: What is most difficult to design?

JR: Design something in a style that is completely different of my style. If a client wants something that I think it’s not a good idea I have to be honest and this is difficult too.

L: Where do you take your inspiration from?

JR: I find inspiration in the best hotels when I go on holidays and the lobby gives me good ideas. Wherever I go I’m looking for inspiration.

L: What is your philosophy in design and in life?

JR: As interior designer, my main goal in everything I do is create something that looks good and something that can be appreciated.

L: What is your favorite project that you created?

JR: I can say that I didn’t create this project yet. Every day is a challenge and I work with many people and I can say that the best is yet to come.
