Francois Frossard has an outstanding reputation among his coveted clientele, which includes current and former heads of state, A-List celebrities, and numerous socialites, for his impeccable design skills.
Francois is also inspired by talking to people, traveling, and discovering villages in his beloved South of France. He believes that “inspiration has to come naturally and it cannot be false,” and that it truly comes and goes.

Francois Frossard began as a cabinet maker and attended professional school to hone his craftsman skills, earning degrees as a “Cabinet maker,” “Kitchen cabinet maker,” and “Carpenter.” After that, he studied architecture in Geneva for three years before transferring to the prestigious Ecole Boulle Paris, which is known for its well-established design and arts degrees. François Frossard has an outstanding reputation among his coveted clientele, which includes current and former heads of state, A-List celebrities, and numerous socialites, for his impeccable design skills.

We were fortunate to gain a unique perspective on how the French designer began his career and established himself in the United States. Early in his career, he was heavily involved in the furniture industry, working for a well-known designer in Chicago. During that time, he discovered hospitality and restoration projects, as well as residential design, and realized that he could apply much of his previous experience to each of them. After 14 years, François Frossard was invited to Miami to assist with some projects. This trip changed his life, and Miami appeared to be a new beginning for the designer.

After unveiling Prive for The Opium Group, a nightclub firm known for its celebrity clientele, in 2002, Francois set a new standard in Night Life Design. This helped his popularity spread around the world, establishing his signature design in the process.

Celebrating design with friends means interpreting himself, his soul, for Francois Frossard. It is more about being able to integrate the project from start to finish. According to him, “luxury is not actually defined by money,” but rather by “what everyone feels is luxury.” Everyone has an idea of what luxury should be. “You cannot redefine luxury by looking at some incredible palaces and places,” he says.

In terms of distinguishing between European and American luxury styles, Francois Frossard claims that some parts of the US still lack a little bit of fashion, but everyone can agree that Miami has a better view. “We have a larger scale of supply and product in the United States than we do in Europe,” he says. However, “the European style is simple and has a natural flavor,” and “in terms of high-end design and fashion, we have much easier access to the Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish markets.”
