Hermès displays new jewellery collection in art installation
The french contemporary architect Didier Faustino was invited by the luxury fashion house Hermès to realize the staging of the new jewellery collection. Getting its inspiration on the theme of cosmogony – the branch of science that explores the origin of the universe, stars and solar system – the art installation is composed by twelve iron boxes suspended within a frame and arranged in a perfect circle that creates a futuristic atmosphere.
Set in a dark space, the pieces are displayed and highlighted within the glass-fronted boxes which introduces a basic representation of the notion of time. By choosing rough materials such as crude iron and non-perfect 3D printings, Didier Faustino makes a visual counterpoint to the magnificence of the jewels. Also the light that comes from the heart of the sculpture gives the constrasting feeling that the installation is breathing by the variations of light.

The jewellery collection, named HB IV Continuum, was designed by the renowned designer Pierre Hardy. The line-up combines haute jewellery with a touch of a rebellious nature and features several distinct groups of stunning pieces including Ombres et Lumière, Attelage Céleste and Feux du Ciel. From gold and silver to pearls and stones, the new Hermès collection is born out of different influences including baroque, equestrian and even punk.
Haute bijouterie IV – Continuum by Pierre Hardy celebrates time that pass and its wonders that stay. The art installation created to display the collection intends to highlight this relation reflected in these unique jewelry pieces.
