Interior design: Bar and Restaurant design awards 2015

Every year in London are distinguished with a design award the restaurant and bar with the best interior design. The 2015’s winner for best restaurant Interior design is The Jane, in Belgium, and for best bar design is the Dandelyan, in United Kingdom.

The Jane presents a modern restaurant design created by the Piet Boon studio, the famous Dutch interior designer. With a closer look we can find some architecture details that remind the previously existing chapel of a former military hospital. The second-story balcony, the magnificent stained glass windows and the towering dome are true interior design inspirations. The stunning decoration creates a perfect natural ambient lighting.

Contrary to what would be expected, Piet Boon studio set aside the religious symbols and hung an illuminating skull in the ceiling. Instead of the uncomfortable wood benches of the old chapel, the designer introduced modern design leather sofas and chairs.

Despite de fact it’s not a member of the micheling star restaurants, The Jane offers a luxury interior design and an amazing deco lighting with an absolutely incredible lamp design.

The winner for best bar design 2015 was Dandelyan, designed by Design Research Studio, the well-known Tom Dixon’s design studio. Presenting a modern art style, the bar is located in the Mondrian Hotel.

Dandelyan has a marvelous architectural lighting and a real light & living spirit.

Famous for its green marble bar and flaming pink leather banquettes, the bar presents a luxury look. You can definitely tell it was design by one of the top interior designers.
