Luxury Fashion Brand Chanel Creates Partnership with Palais Galliera

New Partnership between Chanel and Palais Galliera Allows Paris to Have the First Permanent Fashion Museum in France!

The city of Paris will become even more stylish and charming with the opening of a new gallery at Palais Galliera exclusively dedicated to Chanel‘s outstanding history of fashion influence through out the years.

These new spaces to be created in 2019 at Palai’s basement area will provide the museum’s permanent collections, which include around 200,000 garments, accessories and documents.

The new gallery is slated to open late 2019 and will be named Salles Gabrielle Chanel, The Gabrielle Chanel Rooms. This partnership between House of Chanel and Palais Galliera allowed the city of Paris to have the first permanent fashion museum in France!

“The City of Paris is proud to be able to open this exceptional space to Parisians and visitors from all over the world,” says Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris.

According to Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Chanel Fashion, this initiative is a commitment to empower the city of Paris which is at the heart of Chanel‘s Business, as well as supporting an institution like Palais Galliera, to enable visitors the history behind the brand’s creations.

“Thanks to the valuable support of the House of Chanel, the history of fashion, the excellency of French Haute Couture, the savoir-faire and creativity will now have a prestigious place in these new rooms that Palais Galliera will proudly inaugurate in 2019,” says Olivier Saillard, Director of Palais Galliera.
