An apartment tour of the home of celebrity chef Marc Murphy and his wife Pamela Murphy. The apartment is a luxury space with amazing views over Central Park.

The luxury apartment underwent a renovation, which was done by Matthew Baird Architects.

The home has a gallery where the owners, the Marc Murphy and his wife, display part of their art collection. The rug itself looks like a piece of art and goes beautifully with the abstract paintings displayed on the wall.

The open space concept lets the light in and turns this space into a light-filled area with amazing views over Central Park. Previously the home wasn’t as open, and this space only felt airy once Matthew Baird Architects removed the walls separating the kitchen from the living and dining rooms.

During the renovation, some of the original elements of the home were restored, such as the ceiling moldings. The result is a home that joins tradition with modern age, through the furniture and that’s what luxury is all about!

The couple knows the importance lighting fixtures have in a home, and so selected unique pieces that reflect the character of the entire home The hardwood floors are inspired by Paris.

Even though Pamela Murphy was working with an interior decorator that helped her, she created most of the spaces of this beautiful apartment.
