“Although there are encouraging signs of the pandemic beginning to decrease, we believe there are still far too many uncertainties regarding the travel conditions for international exhibitors and visitors,” commented Maison et Objet’s managing director Philippe Brocart.
The Maison et Objet digital fair will take place from the 4th to the 18th of September, thus replacing the physical event that would be held in Villepinte and which has been postponed to January 2021. The event will coincide with Paris Design Week, which will occur from the 3rd to the 12th of September.
“Furthermore, the lack of clarity regarding the ability to hold large gatherings in early September in France has played a major part in influencing our decision to call off the September edition of Maison&Objet, despite the fact that 80 per cent of stands had already been reserved by April 2020”.
