Pepe’s story didn’t start in Miami, though. Born in Havana, Cuba, the designer didn’t have a passion for interiors since his childhood, it was only at the age of 21 that the lighting bulb of creativity turned on. Pepe took his first steps in the interior design world by working in an architectural and interior design firm as an errand boy, which proved to be a helpful opportunity that allowed him to learn important skills for the future. That’s when his passion for designing blossomed.

A few years later, Pepe partnered with the architect leading the company to form Levine, Claderin & Associates, which would one day become Pepe Calderin Design. Those past experiences were fundamental for the development of Pepe’s unique style and design aesthetic and have translated into his stunning work over the years.
